Many people think that they are just a poor sleeper and that there is nothing they can do about it. But that is wrong! Here at Trouble Sleeping I have helped people who have been lifelong insomniacs for 40+ years to improve their sleep and become good sleepers!

If you or your child are struggling with falling asleep, staying asleep or daytime tiredness and fatigue:

Sleep Consultations

Basic sleep call £99

This is ideal for adults and children who do not have complex sleep issues or simply wish to optimise their sleep

  • Introductory 15 minute telephone call
  • 50 minute consultation with Dr Browning via Zoom/Skype or telephone to discuss sleeping problems with recommendations
  • Follow up sessions available if necessary

Standard consultation package £199

If you or your child has a more complex sleep issue that has been ongoing for some time, then a more thorough sleep consultation may be appropriate.

  • Introductory 15 minute telephone call
  • Pre-appointment 2 week sleep diary sent out
  • 50 minute 1-to-1 sleep consultation to discuss your sleep issue and make recommendations (face to face or via Zoom/Skype/FaceTime)
  • Follow up support via email

CBT-I £399 for 5 sessions

If you have a chronic insomnia that has been ongoing for some time, then the gold standard treatment for insomnia is CBT-I. This is suitable for adults only.

The cognitive part of CBT-I teaches you to recognise and change beliefs that affect your ability to sleep such as negative thoughts and worries that keep you awake. The behavioural part of CBT-I helps you develop good sleep habits and avoid behaviours that keep you from sleeping well.

The 5 session CBT-I package includes:

  • Initial intake clinical assessment and sleep diary
  • 4 follow up face to face or online sleep consultations with Dr Browning
  • Copy of sleep report sent to you and to your GP

In all cases, if we believe that your sleeping difficulty appears to have a medical cause then we will explain the next steps and potentially write a letter to your GP detailing any recommended further investigations or appropriate medical treatment.

The sleep consultancy advice offered by Dr Lindsay Browning is based on her expertise in sleep and is based on psychological principles as a neuroscientist and Chartered Psychologist. Medication will not be offered, and you are advised to discuss coming off any sleeping medication with your GP.
