During this 15-minute telephone call, Dr Browning will assess which of the below packages would be most suitable for you.
50 minute telephone or online discussion about your sleep. Suitable for people wanting to learn more about their sleep or for people with basic sleep issues.
Based on CBT-I principles, but as a brief intervention. After completing a series of questionnaires and a two week sleep diary, Dr Browning will analyse the results and present a tailored treatment plan during a 50 minute online or face to face consultation. One month email follow up support is also included. This is suitable for simple and more recent sleep issues.
This 5 session CBT-I programme is the gold standard for treating insomnia. The first session will be an intake assessment, and then 4 further sessions, will guide you through your personalised CBT-I treatment plan. All sessions can be offered online or face to face. Over a period of 6-8 weeks your sleep will be continuously analysed, your progress tracked, and your personalised plan refined. Once your sessions with Dr Browning are completed, one further month of telephone & email support is also included.
For the standard package, a detailed history of your sleep will be taken and you will be asked to complete a daily sleep diary. This information will then be reviewed and analysed by Dr Browning prior to the 1-to-1 consultation.
During the 50 minute 1-to-1 consultation, Dr Browning will walk you through a series of recommendations that include behavioural and cognitive changes to help you to improve your sleep.
In the majority of cases, clients see significant improvement to their sleep with only one session, but in more complex cases follow-up sessions may be required. In addition, if following consultation we believe that your sleeping difficulty appears to have a medical cause then we will write a referral letter to your GP for further medical treatment.
The sleep consultancy advice offered by Dr Lindsay Browning is based on her expertise in sleep and is based on psychological principles. Medication will not be offered, and you are advised to discuss coming off any sleeping medication with your GP.
